This policy explains what personal data PriceBee collects when you use the pricebee.lt, pricebee.lv and pricebee.ee websites (together "PriceBee") or PriceBee's tools inside AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Claude, why we collect it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

Who we are

PriceBee is a price comparison service for products and mobile and internet plans in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The controller of your personal data is the operator of PriceBee. You can reach us at [email protected].

Data we collect on the websites

• Device and usage information. When you browse PriceBee we automatically collect your browser, IP address, time zone and cookies, and which pages and products you view.
• Clicks to shops and operators. When you follow a link to a shop's offer or an operator's plan, we record the click: what was clicked, when, the page it was on, your IP address, browser and a random visitor identifier stored in a cookie.
• Data you give us. If you create an account, subscribe to price alerts or our newsletter, or write to us through the contact form, we keep what you enter, such as your name and email address.

You can browse PriceBee without giving us any information that identifies you directly.

PriceBee in AI assistants

PriceBee offers a public tool for AI assistants (an MCP server) that searches the products, prices and mobile plans we compare. When you ask an assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude about them and it uses PriceBee, the assistant, not you, sends us a request. We receive and log:

• the search criteria the assistant sends, such as a product name, budget, country, amount of data, operator or contract length;
• technical details of the request: the assistant's name and version, the IP address it calls from and the time.

We do not receive your name, your account with the assistant, or your conversation, and the tool asks for no personal data. Write your questions without personal details: anything the assistant puts into the search criteria reaches us as part of the request.

The products and plans we return link to PriceBee's pages or, through PriceBee, to the operator. If you open one of those links, it is recorded like any other visit or click on the website (see above), together with the name of the assistant it came from.

How the assistant itself handles your conversation is governed by its provider's privacy policy (for example OpenAI's for ChatGPT or Anthropic's for Claude), not by this one.

Why we use your data

• to run the websites and the AI assistant tools, and to keep them secure (including detecting abuse);
• to produce statistics about how PriceBee is used, which we use to improve it; statistics do not identify individual users;
• to count the visitors we send to shops and operators, which we report to our partners;
• to send you the alerts or newsletter you asked for, and to answer your messages.

We process data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving the service, or of your consent where you give it (newsletter, price alerts).

Who receives your data

• Service providers that run PriceBee for us: hosting, our content delivery and security network (Cloudflare), and website analytics (Google Analytics).
• Shops and operators receive you as a visitor when you follow a link to them; from then on their own privacy policies apply.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States), under the safeguards the GDPR requires.

How long we keep it

• Server logs, including requests from AI assistants: 14 days on the server, and 30 days in our central log store.
• Records of clicks to shops and operators: as long as we need them for statistics and to settle accounts with our partners.
• Account, alert and newsletter data: until you delete your account or unsubscribe.
• Messages you send us: as long as needed to deal with your request.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to:

• be informed about how we use your data;
• access the data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data deleted;
• restrict how we process it;
• receive it in a portable format;
• object to our processing it;
• not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing;
• withdraw your consent at any time, and complain to a data protection authority (in Lithuania, the State Data Protection Inspectorate).

To use these rights, write to [email protected]. You can also delete PriceBee's cookies in your browser at any time.

Links to other websites

PriceBee links to shops, operators and other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for how they handle personal data; read their privacy policies when you visit them.

Security

Our servers are accessible only to authorised people, and we monitor our systems for vulnerabilities and attacks. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
